Dr. Kyi Shwin outlines a national framework to standardize and improve the quality of educational qualifications in Myanmar. The framework aims to 1) establish standards and learning outcomes for Myanmar qualifications, 2) make qualifications transparent within and outside the country, and 3) raise the standard of qualifications to ASEAN and international levels. It covers qualifications in technical and vocational education and training up to Level 6, as well as higher education qualifications divided into Levels 7A and 7B.

1. Establish a national framework describing the
levels of educational qualifications, setting the
standards and learning outcomes of Myanmar
qualifications;
2. Making Myanmar qualifications transparent and
comparable within and across national borders;
3. Raise the standard of Myanmar qualifications to
ASEAN and eventually international standards;
4. Increase lifelong access to education qualifications
by providing a clear pathway within Myanmars
qualification and recognizing prior learning;
5. Make qualifications more trusted by and relevant
to industry needs; and
6. Raising the quality of human resources in the
country.


It covers all THREE sectors!
TVET Sector is brought up to Level 6!
With Level 5 divided into A & B in TVET
HE Level 7 divided into A & B
There are THREE domains!

Applications
Responsibilities and Professional Behaviours
Public consultations will be held in the last
quarter of 2014.
It will be approved in the first quarter of 2015.
