Dear Parents/Caregivers
Kia ora, nga mihi nui ki koutou
Welcome to Kobie who has joined Room 2 and
Greta who has joined Room 1.
We are looking forward to our Celebration
Day on November 29
th
. Please see poster
on the back page of our newsletter.
As you will be aware a significant amount of
work is required at the end of this year to
merge the three schools onto two sites.
The North New Brighton School site has to be
completely emptied and the furniture and
resources have to be moved to either
Freeville or Central sites .
Freeville and Central sites will also have to move
furniture and resources depending on which
site these are required.
We have 2 days to achieve this
Monday 15
th
(from 12.00pm) to Wednesday
17
th
of December.
Therefore, North New Brighton School will
finish at 12.00pm on Monday 15
th
December,
to allow for this move to be completed within
this timeframe.
On Monday morning, December 15
th
, parents
may choose to keep their children at home.
To cater for parents who are unable to
provide care at home for their children, in the
morning, the school is open for instruction and our
support staff will run an alternative programme, finishing at 12.00pm.

RWHITI SCHOOL 2015 CLASS PLACEMENTS
The process of organising classes for the 2015 academic year is underway. We are
currently looking at the numbers of children transferring to the new school and working on
a variety of options for classes in 2015.
Class placement is a complex process in which we consider the most appropriate groupings
for children with whom they will collaborate and learn for the following year. Childrens
academic and social needs are taken into account when being placed. As professionals the
staff of your current school know your children very well and will be providing important
information about an appropriate class.
However, if there are any extraordinary circumstances that you believe we are not aware
of, and which may need to be considered when determining class placements, please put
these in writing to The Principal, Rwhiti School and hand in at your school
office by Thursday 13 November.
Parent opinion will be considered alongside of teachers professional judgement. Late
requests and those that request specific teachers will not be considered. We are in the
privileged position of having highly qualified and highly competent teachers in the new
school and we know that they will be working hard to ensure a smooth transition for every
child.
Class placements for 2015 will be available before the end of the current school year.
