INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION
BO-G 300, BO-W 300 Butterfly Valves are intended for indoor & outdoor use, where they will be
readily accessible for operation, inspection and maintenance.
When the valves are received from manufacturer, they should be handled carefully to avoid
breakage and damage to seating area. Before installation of the valves, clean piping, flange and
coupling.
The valve should never be forged to seat by applying a wrench to the hand wheel as this may
distort the valve component and score the sealing surface. When a valve closes hard, it is
usually from debris lodged in the sealing area. This may be corrected by backing off the hand
wheel and closing it again, several times if necessary.
Refer to switch wiring diagram instruction sheet for gear operated valve with switches.
Electrical connections to be in accordance with NFPA 70 and NFPA 72, National Electrical code.
