I have had the great pleasure of working with Kaitlyn Moss at Enfield Street School as her
cooperating teacher during her student teaching placement this fall (2014). Kait has already
shown many qualities of an experienced teacher in her short tenure at our school. She is an
exemplary young professional who provides students with developmentally appropriate and
innovative activities that are congruent with the national physical education benchmarks. Kait
has an exceptional sense of integrity and an outstanding work ethic. She is able to work
effectively and cooperatively with members of the staff. While at Enfield Street School Kait
established the Rock the Rainbow program, which is an exciting and new way to implement
classroom standards of behavior. One of Kaits greatest attributes is her classroom management
skills which consistently affords her students a positive learning environment conducive to
learning. She is able to work effectively with students of various skill levels, differentiates her
lessons according to student need and constantly monitors for student understanding. What
makes Kait stand out is her ability to integrate core literacy and numeracy concepts into her
lessons, which in the age of the Common Core State Standards is a tremendous asset to any
district.
Of Kaits personal attributes I can only speak in superlatives. She is a consummate
professional who is serious and passionate about her chosen discipline. Kait is dedicated to
excellence and sets exceptionally high personal and professional standards for herself. She is
articulate, committed, conscientious and flexible which has earned her the respect of both the
students and faculty at Enfield Street School.
It is with great confidence and pride that I recommend Kaitlyn Moss for any physical
education or related field position for which she may apply. I know that she will have
tremendous success in all of her future pursuits and endeavors.
