English: Blast Furnace

The document describes the process of a blast furnace. Iron ore, limestone, and coke are fed into the top of the furnace through a valve. Layers of coke and iron ore alternate down the furnace. Hot air is blasted into the bottom to fuel the furnace and melt the iron, which is then tapped off, while the slag floats to the top and is removed. Exhaust gases are captured and processed before being released.
