Keynote speaker: P. Edmundo Rodrguez S.J
Fr. Edmundo Rodriguez, S.J. has been a strong force in Hispanic ministries for forty years. Ordained in 1966 and
prepared by graduate studies, he was made pastor in San Antonio and helped establish Communities Organized for
Public Service. COPS changed the city council to include minorities. He served as provincial of the New Orleans
province. He was appointed to the National Catholic Committee on Hispanic Ministry, and co-founded PADRES,
the national organization of Hispanic priests. He was dean of Holy Trinity Seminary in Irving and comes to
Montserrat from eight years as pastor of the Jesuit church in Albuquerque.
The objective of this Retreat / Workshop is to form and to provide each catechist their
continuous training in order to get the certification required by the Dioceses and our
Mary Immaculate Parish.
