This article analyzes the film industry's transition from 35mm film to digital formats. The transition to digital has significantly reduced production costs and made high quality cameras more accessible. It has also led film studios to embrace streaming platforms like Netflix, vastly increasing revenue from output deals. While Hollywood has adapted to the digital age, Broadway has been slow to evolve, risking obsolescence as the film and TV industries take advantage of new technologies.
