to Sabinas, where we find our two preachers, Felipe Jimenez

and Gilberto Rodriguez, and also our bright young lady school

teacher, Senorita Rosa Ramirez. This has been the center of our

work on the frontier ever since we began the work in November,

1905, and we have a nice four-room house, bought a year later,

where one of the families live, and we have our little day school

and church services. Our church here is not as large today as it

was two years ago, but this is due to the fact that so many of the

members have moved to places near there, and have taken mem-

Just four miles from Sabinas, on another branch road is the

mining camp of Agujita (the needle), where about four thousand

people live. We have here the largest church house in all the

frontier, which was started for the Catholic church, but as the

priest there collected the money for completing the building,

when the Mining Company had put up the walls, and went off

without finishing it, it was afterward turned over to us for com-
