Part 1 Scheme of Work

(15 marks)
In groups of 3, prepare a weekly scheme of work to demonstrate how the four
language skills, content, grammar and educational emphases are integrated and
developed. The scheme of work should be based on a theme comprising 4 or 5
30- minute lessons. The unit will include:
-

Classroom context
Behavioural objectives and curriculum specifications/ learning standards
Teaching learning activities
Language content
Materials and resources
Assessment

Part 2 Lesson Planning and Teaching-Learning Materials


(45 marks)

a. Individually plan a 30 minute lesson for any one day based on the
prepared unit of work in the Scheme of Work.
b. Design appropriate teaching-learning materials for the lesson intended.

Part 3 Micro/ Macro- Teaching


(25 marks)

In groups of 3, discuss and select one lesson plan considered to be the best in
your group and micro/ macro-teach the lesson selected.

Part 4 Reflection
(15 marks)
Individually write a reflection in about 1500 words which includes justification for
choice of topic, materials, activities and the value of micro/macroteaching
experience as well as the processes of doing the whole assignment. Support
your discussion with relevant literature.
