UNIT 42:RADIO DRAMA

Setting: the
setting of this
radio drama is in
a car on the way
to a haunted
house.
It sounds like its
based in the
future by the
music playing , it
sounds futuristic
with unusual
sounds.

SCI FI : THE CLEANSED


Characterisation:
the characters
used in this
drama seem quite
agitated and
scared as if they
have no idea of
what's going on.

Silence: there isnt


any silence in this
drama as there is
always
background music
playing, however
just listening to
the music makes it
kind of boring.

Speech & Words:


its normal speech
like its telling a
story, it doesnt
have any
emphasis on
words or unusual
voices.

Music: it uses futuristic music throughout the drama and most of the time its
played like a intermission to the next story.

ADVENTURE/MYSTERY: OPEN SEASON


Setting: the setting
of this radio drama
is in a small town
which at the specific
time of year is
snowy and icy.

Characterisation: the
characters used in
this radio drama are
police officers and
they are
investigating a
murder where a
woman was killed by
someone unknown.

Silence: this
specific one does
not contain much
silence as its a
slow flowing story
and I has no points
where it would
need sound to add
to the effect.

Speech and words:


the speech used is
like its a TV series it
doesnt have set
people talking its a
story with a linear
narrative.

Music: It plays a jolly tune at the beginning and that most of the music is to change
chapter or scene, because the storyline is quite serious.

HORROR: A BLIND MANS CONFERSSION


Setting: it starts
off in a car as the
main character is
speeding and
crashes into
another car
which then fell
into the lake.

Characterisation:
the main
character is
basically doing a
back story and
telling us about
what happened to
him, he sounds
like an angry
teenager.

Silence: it
doesnt really
have any points
when its fully
silent because it
has the narrator
explaining how
he feels at that
moment in time.

Speech and words: his


speech and words are used
to add emotion and depth to
the storyline like heavy
breathing to show he's either
scared or out of breath or
shouting to show that he is
angry.

Music : at the start of the drama, rock music is used to show that the character is
either enjoying or is angry and needs some music to empower him.
