Research Log Rubric Evaluation

This rubric evaluates research logs based on the suitability and credibility of sources, accuracy and completeness of citations, quality of note taking, and variety of sources used. For suitability of sources, exemplary work uses all sources appropriate for the topic, while beginning work uses sources unrelated to the topic. Regarding credibility, exemplary sources are reliable, objective, current and respected. For citations, exemplary work cites all sources accurately and completely. In note taking, exemplary entries are accurate, relevant, concise summaries in the student's own words. Exemplary work also uses a significant variety of specialist sources.
