Conduit Installation Checklist for Kharafi

This document is a check list for the installation of conduits and accessories for the West Damietta Simple Cycle Gas Turbine Units project in Egypt. Check the conduits routed and co-ordinated with


other services as per the approved drawings.
Check conduits are properly supported at
regular intervals as following :
- EMT conduits - supported each 3 mt for all
trades size.
- IMC/RGS conduits :
*Supported each 3 mt for conduits size 21 mm
*Supported each 3.7 mt for conduits size 27 mm
* Supported each 4.3 mt for conduits size 41mm

Check that lighting and receptacles conduits


exposed to weather shall be rigid galvanized
Steel with weather proof fitting.

Check the pull box is provided at regular


intervals as per requirement if conduit runs are
more in length.

Check the outlet boxes and junction boxes


provided as per requirement.

Check the conduits have been firmly connected


to the raceways and boxes, using proper fittings.

Check conduits ends filed smoothly and free


from sharp edges.

Check threads are fully engaged.

Check flexible conduits installed wherever


necessary as per specifications.

Check that at No case ; the conduits have more than


4-90 degree bends from start to finish

Check the fitting of E.M.T conduits shall be rain tight
