Where does the Humane Society get their animals?

The Humane Society gets most of their animals from people who no longer want
their pets.

The people cant afford to keep the pet is the main reason

They do accept stray animals, but they recommend that strays go are sent to the
county animal organization in which they were found.

The Humane Society doesnt have any limit as to how long an animal can stay
there, as long as the animal is healthy, it could stay in the shelter until the animal is
adopted.

Continued..

Humane Society gave homes to 10,481 pets last year,

which was about 87% of the animals.

Help out by adopting an animal.

Not all animals at the shelter are available to adopt.

The animals that are of good health and good

temperament are available to adopt. That way, you
know you will be getting a nice pet.

The animals who are bad tempered and a risk to

public safety are given to animal trainers in homes to
train the animal then given back to the shelter.
