The headteacher of St Anne's Catholic Primary School wrote a letter to parents about upcoming events. The school recently raised over £500 for relief efforts in Nepal and will begin teaching Spanish to key stage 2 pupils. There will also be an after-school Spanish club for year 6 students. The letter also reminds parents about informing the school about free school meals and notes that the recent Ofsted inspection report will be available soon. It includes dates for various school events through the summer term like sports tournaments, a summer fayre, and the end of year mass.

Dear Parents,
We have had a really busy half term with much to celebrate.
Our recent non-uniform day in aid of Nepal raised a magnificent 535.This will be sent to the relevant agencies
and used to try and help what has been devastating to those living in Nepal. We continue to pray for the people
affected by this terrible tragedy and those who are part of the relief effort.
We are very excited to inform you that after half term, pupils in Key Stage 2 will be learning Spanish as part of the
primary curriculum. This will be taught by Mrs. Antonia Hutchinson. We are very excited about this development.
There will also be a Spanish Club for pupils in year 6 initially. This will be held after school on Fridays from
3.15pm -4.15pm. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis so please complete the form attached
and return to school as soon as possible as there are limited spaces. There will be no cost.
I would like to remind parents of pupils who are currently in Key Stage 1, entitled to a free school meal that if you
decide to send your child with sandwiches, you must inform your childs class teacher. If we do not inform the
kitchen, the school is charged for the school meal that they should have had. Recently, there have been a number
of instances of this.
As you are aware, we had an Ofsted Inspection recently. The report will be available in approximately 3 weeks.
Many thanks to all those who communicated their thoughts and opinions about the school either on-line, by letter
or directly with the Ofsted team.
Find attached a list of dates for forthcoming events.
Please note there will be no mass tomorrow Thursday 14th May.
We hope you have a lovely Whit holiday.
Yours faithfully,

Mrs. C. Sierotko.
