Simplified Mathematics

1. Multiplying decimals - similar to multiplying whole numbers and the decimal

point is placed in the product.
2. Division of decimals - similar to division of whole numbers and the decimal point
is placed in the quotient.
3. Covering up method - method that lets you cover several digits on the partial
divisor and partial dividend to be able to obtain easily the partial quotient.
4. Set of irrational numbers - consists of all numbers that cannot be expressed in
the form of a rational number.
5. Modulus other name for absolute value
6. Positive integers whole numbers greater than zero
7. Negative integers whole numbers less than zero

4. Composite Numbers counting numbers with more than 2 different factors (or
divisors).
5. Directed Numbers also called signed numbers.
6. Opposites with the same distance from zero but in opposite directions from zero.
7. Reciprocal multiplicative inverse of a rational number; can be obtained by
interchanging the numerator & denominator of the rational number.
