Deployment QuickStart

Overview
aspenONE provides web access to Aspen Plus and HYSYS models and plant data.
The aspenONE installation includes these components:
1. Enterprise Server: Provides central services for the aspenONE system.
2. Simulations Services: Enables any machine to be used
to run Aspen Plus and HYSYS models.
3. Plant Data Web Server: Enables access to plant data.

You can install aspenONE either on your Desktop computer using the One-Click installation or
on a dedicated machine in the application users corporate domain and administered by a
local administrator. The installation administrator should have read access to all models to
be indexed. See Chapter 2 for hardware and software requirements. Activating Plant Data
requires the aspenONE Process Explorer be connected to the data historian.

Recommended for aspenONE


If users want to access plant data for models, aspenONE Process Explorer must be
installed. See the aspenONE Process Explorer installation and configuration guides for more
information.
Install V8.6 Aspen HYSYS and Aspen Plus
Install the Microsoft server pre-requisites
1. Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Express SP1 64 bit
2. Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5
3. Enable Microsoft IIS 7.5
Install and configure aspenONE using the Configuration Utility.
Configure aspenONE Scanning Processes using the Schedule Manager tab of the Admin
application.
Grant permissions to users or groups to access aspenONE using the Permissions tab of the
Admin application.

User Access
Desktop/Laptop: Internet Explorer 10 and 11 and Google Chrome.
iPad: iOS 7.0 and higher.
URL: If aspenONE was installed on a server with machine name:
aspenone.corp.ABCCorp.com, the aspenONE link would be:
