Monologue Rubric

This document contains a rubric for evaluating student monologue performances. It rates performances in four categories: excellent, good, fair, and weak. Each category provides criteria for line delivery, facial expression, character development, blocking/movement, clarity of location/situation, gesturing, objective, and overall effort/preparation. Higher ratings require stronger performances in each area, with excellent demonstrating fully developed characters and blocking, good requiring a clear and believable character, and fair needing more character development. Weak performances lack emotion, character presence, blocking, or objective.
