REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR A
SMART PHONE GPS TRACKING SYSTEM
September 15, 2015

Interested firms may obtain the RFP via the Port of New Orleans website
at www.portno.com under HOME, under PROCUREMENT, then under
REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS, or directly at this website address: http://portno.
com/Request-For-Proposals. The RFP contains information and instructions on
submitting proposals.

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Commissioners of the Port of New
Orleans (Board) is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) from firms interested
in being considered for award of a professional services contract for providing
a smart phone tracking system. The Board wants a smart phone application that
uses the global positioning system (GPS) to determine and track the precise
location of truckers smart phones while on Board property. Using this tracking
ability, the Board also wants a system that captures the date and time truckers
are at pre-determined locations, determines the time elapsed traveling between

The evaluation of proposals and award of a contract will be scheduled as set


forth in the RFP. All interested qualified firms are invited to submit their
proposals to perform the services outlined in the RFP. The RFP describes the
evaluation factors that will be used in recommending a firm to receive award
of a contract. Failure to submit all the information and forms required will
constitute a non-response proposal.

A response to this RFP shall consist of six (6) bound copies of the proposal plus
one (1) bound original. Submittals shall be mailed or delivered (no facsimile nor
email) to the Board of Commissioners of the Port of New Orleans, Ms. Andre
L. Fant, Executive Assistant for Capital Projects, 1350 Port of New Orleans
Place, New Orleans, Louisiana 70130 by Thursday, October 15, 2015, 12:00
P.M. Central Standard Time. Deliveries are only accepted Monday through
Friday, excluding holidays, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The Port of New Orleans encourages participation of MBE/DBE/WBE/SBE
firms as stated in the RFP.
