Making Update USB

You need to change file name as like


below, and Copy to USB Root folder
HDD Program

LG_HR400_UPDATE_EU.ROM
 DVB-T Model
LG_HR400_UPDATE_MHEG.ROM  MHEG Model

BD Program

LG_BD_400M.ROM

IO Program

io_micom_update.hex

Loader Program
HL04P.ROM

HDD Program Update

Power off state, insert USB and power on.


Press Remote control STOP and
Front key Back Scan() at Tuner mode.

At this screen, you can check current


and new firmware version. If you press
PLAY button, updating will be started.

Procedure of updating will be started


automatically after completing to
mounting USB .

If other key is pressed, updating will be


canceled.

It displays progressing

You must
turn off the recorder after completing
update.
It is completed updating.

BD & Loader & IO Program Update(1)

If it is inserted USB for BD updating at


any mode. Then, it will be changed BD
mode and start checking for USB.

It displays progressing

BD main program update.

At this screen, you can check current


and new firmware version.
If you press OK, updating will be started.

Loader program update.

At this screen, you can check current


and new firmware version.
If you press OK, updating will be started.

BD & Loader & IO Program Update(2)

IO program update.

At this screen, you can check only


new firmware version.
If you press OK, updating will be started.

It displays progressing

If update is complete, automatically power off.

How to Check Current Version (HDD, IO)

Place cursor at LOCK position as like left in


SETUP menu. Then, press continuously button.

-> 7, 8, 8, 9

If you want get more detail information, place


cursor at LOCK position in SETUP menu. Then,
press continuously button as like below.

-> 1, 3, 9, 7, 1, 3, 9, Enter

It displays version information as


briefly.

It displays more detail information.

How to Check Current Version(BD, Loader, IO)

Place cursor at 16:9 Wide position as like left


in SETUP menu. Then, press continuously
button.

It displays information, and factory reset is


done.

-> 1, 3, 9, 7, 1, 3, 9, Enter

If only displays information(dont factory reset)


Place cursor at 16:9 Wide position as like left
in SETUP menu. Then, press continuously
button.

-> 4, 5, 6, 2, 5, 8, 0, Enter

It only displays information.
