Human-Environment Interaction

Humans have interacted with their environment since the beginning by adapting to different natural situations through shelters, clothing, and tools, modifying the environment to suit their needs through structures like homes and farms, and depending on the environment for resources like food, water, and materials for survival. Some key ways humans adapt include using air conditioners and heaters, modify through building shelters from natural materials like caves, and depend on different landscapes and climates to grow necessary crops. How humans interact with their environment can have both positive and negative impacts and it is important we care for it sustainably.

Human-Environment Interaction

Human environment interaction is a challenging topic.

Simply put, human-environment interaction is what
humans do to their environment. Humans started to
adapt, modify and depend on the environment since their
existence on earth. How do we adapt to the environment?
Adapting to the environment means how we adjust to the
different natural situations. For example, we use and build
air conditioners and fans to help us cool down in hot
temperatures while on the opposite we use heaters and
fires to warm us in cooler/colder temperatures. How do we
modify the environment? Humans need shelter. Shelter is
needed
to
protect
humans
from
different
temperatures/climates, precipitation levels and thw
wilderness. An example of human shelter are caves. We
used caves as one of our first shelters which helped
protect man from nature. To this day in some parts of the
world some people still live in caves. How do we depend
on the environment? We depend on the environment for a
variety of things. We depend on different types of
landscapes to build different types of shelters. For
example Eskimos build igloos to help shelter them from
the extreme cold weather and due to a lack of building
materials where they live.
We also depend on the
enviroment to grow our food for example we need a
particular type of environment to grow different types of
fruits and crops such as bananas, apples and grapes
each need different environments. To conclude, Humanenvirnment interaction is how Humans interact and adapt
to the environment in any way. It can be in both good and
bad ways depending on how we as humans choose to
interact. Ultimately we should all take care of the
environment because it will not last forever.

People at GJS adapt

by using fans and

modify the
environment by
cutting down trees
and building different
facilities.
