CHALLENGING OPENINGS
Punjab Technical University is looking for dynamic, young, committed & value based individuals with
consistent good academic record and of proven ability to fill one Academic posts of Assistant Professors in
each of the following disciplines in the pay scale of Rs. 15600-39100 (AGP Rs. 6000):
Electronics & Communication; Civil Engineering; Bio Technology; Mechanical Engineering;
Computer Applications; Computer Science & Engineering; Pharmacy; Biology; Chemistry;
English; Mathematics; HMCT; Physics; Punjabi and Management with specialization in each of
(a) Accounts / Finance (b) Marketing/ IT (c) Human Resource (d) Agriculture and Food Business
Qualifications and Eligibility conditions for all these posts are as notified by AICTE / UGC. Details of the
Qualifications and eligibility conditions etc. are also available on PTU website. In case of large number of
applications, University may conduct written test. The reservation for various categories will be followed as
per the Reservation Policy. The split up of posts is available on University Website. University reserves the
right not to fill the advertised post and also to alter number of posts indicated.
Application Form is to be downloaded from the University website. Application fee of Rs.500/- for General
category (Rs. 250/- for SC / ST) is to be deposited in the shape of demand draft favouring Registrar, PTU
payable at Jalandhar.
The applications complete in all respect should reach Registrar, PTU latest by 09.04.10 at 05.00pm.
Note: Candidates already applied vide Advt. No. 2009/34 dated 10.10.2009 and fulfill the
qualifications / experience mentioned in this advertisement need not apply afresh. However,
applications of the candidates who had applied earlier do not fulfill the qualifications /
experience as per recent AICTE / UGC guidelines are being returned.
