Key vocabulary

Opening
Introduce the lesson and what its going to be about.
Ask Students a little bit about times table.
Each group will have different type of warm ups (random times table using cards).
Activity 1: multiplying 2 digits with a single digit (1 Group Low Level) (Pairs) (Guided)

Time: 30 minSmall

1. Each 2 students will get a sheet.


2. The pairs will try to answer the sheets (they could solve it by using their fingers / numbers grid).
Activity 2: multiplying 2 digits with a 2 digits (2 Groups medium level) (individual)
1. Each student will get a worksheet.
2. Students should work individually (they could ask their friends for help).
3. After finishing, they could share their answers.
Activity 3: multiplying 3 digits with a 1 digit (2 Groups high level) (individual)
1. Each student will get a worksheet.
2. Each student will try to solve the problems without seeking for help.
3. After finishing, they can compare their answers and share it.

Time: 5 min Whole

Close Multiplication challenge

1. Choose 1 student from each group.


2. Write on the board five different questions.
3. At the count of 3, the students will start solving the problem.
4. The student wholl finish first, her group will get a point.
Assessment
Give each student a problem and know if they understand the lesson by evaluating their answers.
