Dear, Parents, Teachers & Faculty,

My name is Kenetta Cannon, and I am excited to announce that I will join Building Blocks
Learning Academy as the new student-teacher. I will be completing 250 internship hours over the
next 16 weeks. Currently, I am a student at Kennedy-King College and I am completing my final
semester of the Early Childhood Associates Degree Program. I have over 100 field experience
hours, a Basic Certification for Pre-school Education, and I am a licensed DCFS foster parent.
Under the direct supervision of the schools director Ms. Denise Bogan and your childs lead
teacher Ms. Natalie Wright, I will learn the essential skills needed to one day teach my own
class. I am excited to learn more about classroom management, lesson planning, and other
fundamentals of Early Childhood Education. This experience will lead to positive collaboration
with students, staff, and families.
I look forward to serving you and your children, and I look forward to a smooth transition as a
member of the Building Blocks community. In, this process I hope to gain my own authentic
teaching values, philosophies and dispositions, which I intend to use to in our very diverse
society as a pre-school teacher.
Thank you again to the parents, teachers and staff for this wonderful opportunity!
