OUTLOOK

Kevin Baetsl
ARTEVELDE UNIVERSITY COLLEGE E-SKILLS

1 SUMMARY
Outlook is a mail service, but it also offers you to create an agenda/schedule, the agenda is
very structured and handy to use.

For this assignment, I had to create an entire schedule with every Class, Assignment & Test,
also I had to make a personal agenda determining how long Id be working on each of those
assignments and tests.

3 INTRODUCTION
For this assignment, I had to make a Microsoft Outlook account. Microsoft Outlook, at first
seemed as just a mail device, but Ive discovered theres so much more to do with Microsoft
Outlook.

After logging in with my school email address, I could quickly link all my classes in a personal
agenda. That agenda has proven to be very useful as I also had to make a list of my
assignments, tests and just personal agenda/study time/work time/group work sessions.

In this assignment, Ive made an overview of September, October, November and December.

4 OUTLOOK PLANNING
Personal agenda = Red
Assignments = Green
Tests = Gray
Classes = Blue

After a few weeks, the classes already followed automatically delete from the agenda.

4.1 SEPTEMBER

In the month September, there wasnt much to do, as the classes just started. I had a few
assignments to work on (all in green) such as creating Outlook, working for 2TMD and
finding a group for the International Strategy Report.

My personal agenda is in red, where I had to prepare group works for E-Skills (Web 1 & 2),
prepare International Business Communication A and create a LinkedIn account.

4.2 OCTOBER

A whole lot more personal agenda in October, a trend that stays on until the end of
December. In October there were the first Tests (gray), My group and I had to present Web 2
of E-Skills, I had to make a PowerPoint presentation and do a negotiation test for
International Business Communication A.

There were a few assignments to be done as well in October. Such as working on the Buddy
project and TimeManagement for 2TMD, preparing and working on a group work for the
International Business Communication A classes, define a first problem for Market Research
and doing a weekly assignment for E-Skills.

4.3 NOVEMBER

In November, youll finally have a look on my Class schedule (Blue), There were a lot of
assignments to be done in November, such as handing the homepage of the website youll
read this report of, for E-Skills, work on Networking for 2TMD, following a few Guest
Lecturers for the Seminars of 2TMD and finally finalize the website and all its content.

November and December both are the months of the deadlines, so this means there was a
lot of personal agenda in these months, I had to work non-stop on a lot of group works, such
as International Business Communication A, International Strategy (Report and Market
Research), E-Skills group works and International Sales & Marketing.

4.4 DECEMBER

A few Tests that have to be finished in December, such as submitting the reports for
International Strategy, Market Research and International Sales & Marketing. Also there is
the presentation of the website for E-Skills and another group work for International
Business Communication A

5 CONCLUSION
5.1 CONCLUSION TO OUTLOOK
Outlook is a very handy tool to utilize when having a busy (read crowded) agenda. There are
just too many tasks and assignments as well as personal agenda to be filled in. So this is
where Outlook comes handy, not only it is a mail service, but Outlook also offers a
structured agenda.

Its very handy to use it and plan a lot of stuff ahead.

5.2 REFLECTION
First I was a bit skeptical in having an online agenda, but after all I went along with it and I
cant stop using it anymore. Im a planner in nature, but now Ive planned everything ahead,
deadlines, assignments, tests, study time. Outlook is a great device for planning.
