Drug Study Ceftriaxone

Ceftriaxone is a third generation cephalosporin antibiotic with the brand name Forgram. It has a dosage of 450mg intravenous every 12 hours. Ceftriaxone works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis. It is indicated for neurologic complications, carditis, arthritis, and various gram-negative and other bacterial infections. Side effects include pain, induration, phlebitis, rash, diarrhea, thrombocytosis, leucopenia, and glossitis.
