Procedure for Testing of Ship borne equipment for LRIT

Registration Procedure:
1. A request for testing the Shi borne terminals may be sent by email
to Tata Communications Ltd. at the following email ids

3. The LRIT Conformance testing charges are Rs. 9000/- per terminal
plus taxes @10.3%
4. The payment may be made through a Cheque/DD in the name of
Tata Communications Ltd.
5. 2 Copies of the Conformance reports will be mailed to the mailing
address after the payment has been received and one copy will be
sent to The DG of Shipping.
Dos and Donts during testing of Ship borne terminals
1. Please make sure that the Inmarsat-C terminal undergoing test is Powered
ON during the test period. The test period will be about 30 hours
2. Please make sure that the Tata Communications DNID downloaded
during the test is kept enabled
3. Please make sure that the Position Reporting is ON & enabled
4. In the event of non-receipt of response after downloading DNID,
Competent person onboard may need to ensure correct Configuration of
Inmarsat-C terminal.
