Pear and Cream Cheese Tart
With a Shortbread Crust!

Ingredients:

For Crust:
cup sugar
1 cup all purpose flour
tsp salt
cup cold butter {1 stick}
1 large egg
For Filling:
2, 8oz pkg. cream cheese
1 cup confectioners sugar
1tsp vanilla
thin pear slices cut in half {from 1 pear}
candied walnuts {Optional}
Preparation:
Preheat oven to 375 fahrenheit.
Put flour, sugar, salt in the food processor and pulse until combined at 1
second intervals.
Cut butter into 1 TBSP pieces and pulse with the ingredients already in the
food processor at 1sec. intervals until fine and powdery.
Add egg and pulse 10 times or so
Knead dough 3-4 times or until smooth. set aside.
Blend together cream cheese, vanilla, and confectioners sugar in food
processor.
Make 2 balls of dough and press into a jumbo muffin maker so they are
1 tall and are - in. thick.
Fill tarts half way with cream cheese mixture and lay pear slices over the
cream cheese mixture slightly overlapping. Top with candied walnuts
[optional].
Bake for 15 minutes then reduce the heat to 350 fahrenheit and bake for 812 minutes or until golden brown.

Let cool completely then remove from baking tray.
serves: 6
store on a plate and cover with plastic wrap. lasts 5 days.
