To Whom It May Concern:
It is with much pride and enthusiasm that I write this letter on behalf of Adrianna Ortega. She was a student in my
course titled: The Role of Women in Society & U.S. History. Economics and AP Government course and she was
also member of the freshman girls softball team that I coached. I have had the distinct pleasure of knowing
Adrianna since August 2015.
Adrianna is steadfast in her desire to receive a post-secondary degree. At all times, Adrianna has proven to be
motivated toward learning new material, discussing new ideas and opening herself up to new ways of thinking. She
is recognized and admired by her peers for her trustworthiness, perseverance and positive attitude. Such qualities
have clearly played a critical role in the successes she has enjoyed.
I had the pleasure of watching Adrianna grow in her passion for learning, and it was not unusual to receive regular
emails from her that were the result of researching current topics of discussion. She never limited her learning to
the class period or the school day. Instead, she was always looking to apply newfound knowledge in the real world
setting. Such determination and drive will undoubtedly carry over into her college experience and studies, as well
as future successes.
The skills that Adrianna has acquired in the classroom support her strong commitment to pursuing a career in
education. She embraces the opportunity to work with others in a collaborative setting. She moves comfortably
between the role of leader and team player. Her organizational skills highlight her ability to process information,
synthesize it and apply it. These abilities distinguish her from her peers and highlight her fortitude. In recognizing
the valuable role of community service, Adrianna has been an active member of Merced Highs Key Club and
MEChA Club.
Adriannas desire to think beyond her immediate environment has led to success in the classroom and among her
peers. She was highly regarded by her peers, the faculty and the administration at Yosemite High. As a student,
Adrianna combined her personable qualities with her intellectual capabilities. The students she hopes to teach
someday will clearly benefit from this total person who has extensive knowledge, accomplishments and unending
compassion from which to draw. Adrianna continues to give of herself far beyond the norm and display a maturity
that ensures success in her future. She will, without a doubt, continue to benefit the institutions and people with
whom she comes into contact.
Sincerely,
