1. Purpose
To inform All ASCs of information about Technical Tip.
2. Instruction
- Pre-requisite
1) Qualcomm USB driver must be installed. (Driver will be provided by HQ)
2) GS4 Recovery_EUR.exe file (Depending on the Buyer)
(HHP Svc > Find Contents > J-TAG Program > GT-I9505)
Detailed Boot Recovery Process
1) Connect the phone to PC, using USB cable.
2) "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader xxxx (COMXXX)" in the Device Manager is displayed
as shown in the picture below.

If it does not appear as shown in the picture above, it is that Qualcomm USB driver is not
installed. Or the phone you have connected via USB cannot recovered by this tool.
3) Run GS4 Recovery_EUR.exe file. (Depending on the Buyer)
(Check COM Port number, set Serial Port which is detected in Device Manager.)

4) Click Recover Device button.


5) If the recovery is successfully processed, the below screen will appear. Please note that
the process normally takes about 1- 2 minutes.

Do not disconnect the phone until you see the above screen.
6) Click END button.

7) Disconnect the phone from PC and then turn on the phone.
8) The phone enters download mode automatically.

9) Download full S/W, including PIT, PDA, CSC, PHONE.
