1. Everyone aware of the task TBT. Ensure that personnel not involved in
operations is kept clear of the area (PSM)
2. Adequate supervision (PSM)
3. Hazardous substances identified as part of personnel safety induction
(PSM)
4. Control Of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) ProcedureCONTRACTOR & Vessel (PSM; VC)
5. Material Safety data sheets (MSDS) to be supplied and circulated as
appropriate- CONTRACTOR & Vessel (PSM; VC)
6. Suitable means for loading/unloading available (if applicable) (PSM)
7. Correct storage (COSHH cabinet/paint store/chemical store), ventilation,
labeling/segregation of incompatible substances. (PSM)
8. All containers should be sealed with correct signage and labeling. (PSM)
9. All containers should be appropriate for contents. (PSM)
10. Ensure eyewash station onboard (PSM)
11. Signs posted (PSM)
12. Hazardous materials to be used correctly. (operator)
13. SOPEP equipment (products for chemicals absorption) maintained at
hand and ready for use. (PSM; operator)
14. Adequate Medical equipment and materials - CONTRACTOR & Vessel
(PSM; VC)
15. Hazardous materials and their containers to be disposed of ashore.
(PSM; VC)
16. Selection/competence assurance/ assessment/ certification/ training of
project personnel - CONTRACTOR personnel trained as COSHH assessors
(PM)
17. Use of medically certified personnel (PM)
18. Adequate maintenance of equipment, PPE, emergency equipment
(PSM)
