Get on Board the Pro-bono Express

David Warshaw is founder and principal of Vistas Volunteer Management Solutions, a


consulting firm helping businesses and nonprofits build capacity to improve their
communities through strategic volunteering. He serves on both the New Jersey Governor’s
Advisory Council and the New Jersey State Commission for Volunteerism and Community
Service, and is Vice President of the Board of the Bergen County (NJ) Volunteer Center.
Mr. Warshaw is an adjunct professor in the graduate communication program at Montclair
State University and at the Petrocelli College of Continuing Studies at Farleigh Dickenson.
He has been a regular workshop presenter at the US National Conference on Volunteering
and Service, and has presented at conferences and workshops around the world. He
previously served on the board of the Points of Light Foundation, where he chaired the
National Council on Workplace Volunteering. Before starting his firm, Mr. Warshaw was a
corporate public relations executive at General Electric for 27 years, and for five years
directed GE’s global workplace volunteer effort that enlisted more than 60,000 employee
and retiree volunteers in more than 30 countries. Prior to GE, Mr. Warshaw had a ten-year
career in education
