When 22 MTPA Raw Coal is washed,
it produces rejects of about 4-4.5
MTPA having an ash of 57-62%.
The problem of handling such large
quantities of rejects in an
environmental friendly manner is one
of the biggest challenge being faced
by the washery operator.
