Characters

Daniel Bar Jamin*- Daniel Bar Jamin is an eighteen year old boy, who hates the Romans. Both his parents are dead. Throughout the story, Daniel had a really strong hate for Romans, but with Jesus help, he learns to love his neighbors, the Romans, and to not hate them. Rosh- Rosh hates the Romans. Rosh is also a thief, but he claims that he steals for the good of Jews. Samson- Samson was a slave before Rosh and his band of thieves stole him. Samson became loyal to Daniel, and he saw Daniel as his master. Malthace*- Malthace is the twin sister of Joel. After she moved to Capernaum, she changed her attitude to city ways, but she still had a forgiving and loving heart. She would break laws just so that she could go visit Leah. Leah- Leah is Daniels younger sister. She is possessed by demons. She becomes less frightened along the story, and she shows her face outside more. She even makes some friends. Joel*- Joel is Malthaces twin brother. He wanted to be a part of Roshs band. He agreed to work for Rosh in Capernaum. He slowly realizes that Rosh is wrong, and that Jesus is right, and he starts to listen to Jesus preaching. Simon the Zealot- He used to hate Romans, and wanted to rebel against them, but then he started to listen to Jesus preaching, then he started to follow Jesus, and eventually became one of Jesus disciple. He gave his blacksmith shop to Daniel, because he had no more need for it after he started to follow Jesus. Jesus of Nazareth- Jesus is the Son of God. He was from Nazareth, born to Mary and Joseph. During the story, he would preach to many people. He made Daniel and the rest of the characters see things in a different way, usually a more positive side of things.
