Everyone who identify himself as follower of Christ must bear fruit.


John 15:5

What is fruit bearing?


Fruit bearing is all a Christian does to the glory of God.
John 15:8

What fruits we are to bear?


1. WINNING SOULS TO CHRIST
a. As expressed by Paul in his desire to go to Rome

Romans 1:13 b. Disciples creating more disciples is a natural indication of bearing fruit Matthew 28:19-20

What fruits we are to bear?


2. SHARING WITH THOSE IN NEED
a. As explained by Paul in describing the contribution to poor saints - Ro 15:25-28 b. Which was evidence of God's grace at work in the givers 2Co 8:1-2

3. DEVELOPING CHRIST-LIKE CHARACTER
a. Indicating that one is walking in the Spirit Galatians 5:16 b. Evidence that is diligent in growing the true knowledge of Jesus 2Peter 1:5-8

4. PRAISING GOD AND GIVING THANKS
a. The fruit of our lips in praise and prayer are spiritual sacrifice which we are to offer continually Hebrew 13:15

A follower of Christ must bear fruit. This includes all he does to the glory of God.
By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples John 15:8
