ACKNOWLEDGMENTS
This section should contain the acknowledgements due to the Director, Dept HOD, company personnel and faculty members whose assistance was sought during the training.

ABSTRACT
The abstract is brief synopsis of the training program and should be written in 4 paragraphs (Limit to one page). The first paragraph should outline the importance of the work / topic in the present day scenario, hence leading to the objective of the training. The second paragraph should briefly discuss the methodology that was adopted in imparting the training. The third paragraph should discuss briefly the important results that were obtained and its significance. The fourth paragraph should discuss the important conclusion(s) of the training exercise.

CHAPTER 1 INTRODUCTION
This chapter (approximately 3 pages max) should include Introduction (1 paragraph brief of what is going to be discussed in this chapter)

Introduction to the area of work (general discussion) Brief present day scenario with regard to the work area Motivation to undertake the training in that particular organization Brief importance of the work in the present context Objective of the training Training schedule (if available) Organization of the report (chapter wise)

CHAPTER 2 Training Highlights


This chapter (approximately 10 pages max) should include Introduction (1 paragraph brief of what is going to be discussed in this chapter) What were the process and methodology used by the company in the training, if it was a training program with streamlined schedule briefly explain each phase

CHAPTER 3 Summary and Conclusions


This chapter (approximately 5 pages max) should include Introduction (1 paragraph brief of what is going to be discussed in this chapter) Lessons Learned from the training Briefly Correlate to the courses taken in the UG Distinct training methods that augmented problem analysis skills (if any) Conclusions

CHAPTER 4 About the Company


This chapter (approximately 2 pages max) should include Introduction of the company Operational Details End products Organizational structure

Training Report to be minimum 15 pages. Reports less than 15 pages will be rejected Training report to be maximum 20 - 25 pages (preferred) Paper Size: A4; Left = Right = Top = Bottom Margins = 1 Page Numbering Position: Bottom with right justified and continuous numbering from the Introduction Chapter Use Times New Roman Font with Normal Style, paragraph justified and 1.25 line spacing Paragraph Heading: Times New Roman Font, Bold, Font Size 14; Paragraph Matter: Times New Roman Font, Normal, Font Size 12; Sub-paragraphs be appropriately numbered as in 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 etc; Sub-paragraph Heading: Times New Roman Font, Italics, Font Size 12; Sub-paragraph Matter: Times New Roman Font, Normal, Font Size 12; Figure captions below Figure with chapter wise numbering Tables captions above Table with chapter wise numbering Soft bound or spiral bound reports will be accepted (Consult coordinator before binding) Arrangement of contents [1] Cover page (same as inner page) [2] Inner page [3] Certificate [4] Certificate on company letter head or Xerox Copy of Certificate [5] Acknowledgement [6] Abstract [7] Table of contents [8] Chapters 1, 2, 3, 4 The above guidelines should be used only as a help guide and is more or less a standard way of report writing Report formatting should not be disturbed in any form Students are requested to discuss with the department coordinator regarding the contents of the training report

Hard Copies to be prepared: 2 (individual copies + dept) Hard Copies to be submitted: 1 (1 to the coordinator) Multiple students who have training in the same organization at the same time and in the same plant / dept must submit the training reports individually (even if the contents are the same) and their industrial training presentation will be scheduled separately.
