The Bridgend Inspiring Growth Farmhouse Renovation Project Committee met on January 26th to discuss several matters: 1. Will updated the committee on the Living Memory Project exchange between local schools and the community allotments. 2. The committee discussed insurance options and decided to wait another week before choosing between providers. John set up internet banking for the group. 3. They agreed to hold a support session in early March with Tom Black from DTAS to help plan next steps and funding applications for the project. Will and others would work on collating research to present.

Bridgend Inspiring Growth Farmhouse Renovation Project Committee Meeting Date: Thursday 26th January 2012

Venue: Daisy's Diner Cafe, The Inch Present: Anna Danby, John Knox, Will Golding, Apologies: Ruby Alba, Ellie Forgan 1. Living Memory Project ii. Will updated all to where we are at and that there was to be a meeting at 7.30 to clarify details. The exchange will be between Liberton Primary, Inchview and Bridgend Allotments. Fuller details to be confirmed soon and available on request 1. Insurance and finance 1. John had suggested a cheaper insurance, but this relied on being a member of BTCV which the cost of as well as the insurance would be similar to the current insurance costs we have researched through SCVO. Will to wait one more week and if no better offer than to go with the insurance from Keegan & Pennykid. 2. John has set up internet banking. 2. Community Ownership support session 1. Discussed emails from Tom black at DTAS and decided that we should go ahead with this session as it sounded important for establishing what are the next steps to move the project forward whilst helping with clarifying details for creating a project plan and funding applications to develop this. 2. Agreed to find a date in early March to carry this out if Ruby could make this too. Will to look into with Tom. 3. Project plan 1. Decided we needed to make sure we presented our vision and research done so far clearly to Tom before this session. Agreed to do this together, collating all information currently collected. To be done on Sunday 19th February 10-1. If others want to attend please let us know. Anna to organise at her flat. 2. Ruby carrying out permaculture project on possible use of some of the land of the farmhouse. Soon to be completed. 4. Local developers 1. John has written to Fields in Trust about the farmhouse and to Baywater ION about local developments. Responses still awaiting. John to follow up with a call. 2. Consider contacting council about situation of negotiations with Fields in Trust, as those governing the farmhouse land. All to consider and act upon if possible. 3. John to speak to Councillor Snowden about this too and working with the council and fields and trust in partnership on this and conditions on the use of the land and property. 5. Forthcoming events 1. Bridgend potato Day Sunday 26th February. Will to be present. 2. Community engagement event on Proposed Residential Development at Edmonstone Estate, Little France - Thursday 2nd February in Room 1B, Goodtrees Neighbourhood Centre, 5 Moredunvale Place EH17 7LB - 3pm4.45pm and 6.15pm-8.15pm. Will and John to try and attend. 6. Members information/leaflet John suggested we need to print out another 200 or so leaflets to distribute to our members and local residents. This is to be produced after meeting

with Tom and with information of next 6-12 months project plans. 7. Date of Next Meeting. iii. Early March for workshop with Tom Black from DTAS. Date and time TBC. Inch Community Centre.
