SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
Transceiver, general description

The transceiver consists of one separate transmitter unit, one power unit and one receiver unit. The transmitter unit and the power supply unit are described in the transmitter TA7450/25/10 manual included in this file. The receiver unit is described in the receiver RA7202 manual, also included in this file. In order to operate the transmitter and the receiver together as a transceiver, the only signal that is necessary to interconnect is the muting signal between the transmitter and the receiver units. In addition a coax cable from the receive output on the transmitter is connected to the antenna input on the receiver. A relay is used to connect the key/mute input on the receiver to the ground reference available on the same connector. See the included technical manuals for details.

Alternatively, if the transceiver is operated from a remote location, the line input is available on the 15 pin D-connector on the transmitter, between pin 5 and 6. The line output is available on the receiver D-connector between pin 5 and 6. Remote keying of the transmitter is performed either by line loop keying or by adding a negative voltage to pin 12 or a positive voltage to pin 7. See the included technical manuals for details.
