University Project Code: DRC/CDAC-NaMPET-II/EE/MS/008/12-13 Ref.: Advt. No. EE 5812, published in The Times of India, Kolkata, dated 11.07.12 Applications are invited, on plain paper with complete bio-data (including Candidates Name, Fathers Name, Date of Birth, Postal Address, E-mail, Contact Telephone No., Mobile Ph. No., Academic Qualification, Work Experience etc.), for p u r e l y temporary posts of (i) one (1) Project Technical Assistant and (ii) One (1) Maintenance Assistant in NaMPET Phase-II, DeitY, MCIT, Government of India sponsored project entitled Design, development and testing of 3-phase permanent magnet machines and their converters " in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Bengal Engineering and Science University, Shibpur Howrah-711 103 . Duration: Maximum of 33 months for (i) and 34 months for (ii) above, on a renewable basis.

Technical Assistant: Essential Qualifications:1. I.T.I. degree / diploma in Electrical / Mechanical / Electronics, 2. Minimum 15 years hands on experience / expertise in Fabricating laboratory set-ups and /or commercial prototypes of mechanical fixtures, magnetic components, power and signal electronic circuits and systems, controllers, integration of these components and systems, manual PCB fabrication, 3. Mechanical fabrication of all kinds, 4. Electrical wiring. Desirable Qualifications:1. Minimum 3 years experience with some Power Electronic Apparatus manufacturer, 2. Exposure in making power electronic system applications related to electrical drives, induction heating, welding, renewable energy, DC-chopper application etc, 3. Exposure in making drive and logic circuits for Power Electronic Apparatus. Remuneration: Rs. 11,000 /- p.m. (consolidated).

Maintenance Assistant: Essential Qualifications:1. Master degree in Commerce / Science, 2. Minimum 3 years experience of working in a National level Research Project (Government of India funded), 3. Certificate in basic knowledge of Computer operation and working with different Windows operating systems, 4. Certificate in working with Computer Softwares related to accounting / finance, 5. Involvement in activities of professional bodies like IE(I), IEEE(USA),

Desirable Qualifications:1. Experience of assistance in preparing audit documents, 2. Experience of secretarial assistance in National Workshop, National Conference, etc. 3. Regular experience of secretarial assistance in Technical Seminars, Short Term courses related to Engineering subjects, 4. Experience of preparing tender related documentation, purchase / work order and payment documentations, 5. Experience in inventory management and stock keeping of engineering equipments, consumables and other items, 6. Maintaining audit documents like Cash book, Ledger etc, 7. Experience of preparing documents for Receipt & Payments accounts and Utilization Certificate. Remuneration: Rs. 10,000 /- p.m. (consolidated) Date and venue of Interview: 1 8 th July 2012 (Wednesday) at 02.00 PM in the office of the Department of Electrical Engineering, BESU, Shibpur.
