Mechanism of action and indications (Why med ordered)
Prophylaxis and treatment of N&V, Dizziness, or vertigo Contains both dipenhyrdamine and chlorotheophyline. Antiemetic mechanism not known, but does depress labrynthine and the vestibular function. May mask ototoxicity due to aminoglycosides, possesses anticholinergic activity.
Geriatric patients are more sensitive to it
Common side effects
Drowsiness, confusion, headache, dizziness, blurred vision diplopia
Interactions with other patient drugs, OTC or herbal medicines (ask patient specifically) Alcohol additive CNS depressant Antibiotics  make certain one ototoxic with irreversible damage.
Lab value alterations caused by medicine
Be sure to teach the patient the following about this medication
avoid activities that require mental alertness, avoid alcohol and other CNS depressants, may alter skin testing results.
