Non-verbal communication provides context and meaning to what is said verbally. It reinforces spoken words through gestures and emphasis, defines relationships through cues like eye contact and proximity, lets others provide feedback through movements like leaning in or away, and conveys emotional states via facial expressions and eye movements. Non-verbal cues are an important part of fully understanding communication.
