SPECIFICTIES OF LNG TRADE


LNG Trade needs dedicated Gas reserves & other Facilities (e.g liquefaction plant, shipping, Jetty, Berthing facilities, terminal etc.) Correspondingly LNG contracts are long term one (typically 20 years + ), although recently market is slowly opening to spot purchases. Any LNG Project, thus involves development of complete chain. LNG trade in India essentially means import of Gas. The elements involved are Shipping Un-loading, Storage & Regasification facilities Transportation / Distribution net work End users (e.g. power plants)
