Definition Examples Role of design in life II.
DESIGN DEFINITION:
Design is defined as any arrangement of line, form, colors and texture. (Art in everyday life by Harriett Goldstein) Steve jobs, legendary CEO of Apple said: Design is the fundamental soul of a man made creation. Design is that area of human experience, skill and knowledge which is concerned with mans ability to mould his environment to suit his material and spiritual needs. (atschool.eduweb)
Design is everywhere. It is what links creativity and innovation. Design made everything possible for mankind today. It is what drew your eye to a particular piece of furniture, forced you to appreciate a fine cuisine, drew your eye at the fine cut of a dress and much more. Design does not necessarily imply man made creation. The nature around us is also, in itself, a beautiful design. The exotic forests, vast seas and oceans, the many animals and birds, even man himself, everything is an example of design, and a far more beautiful example than any man made creation.
