Professional Growth Plan

I want to learn about and develop classroom management strategies and routines that will be effective in a music classroom for both choral and band Rationale: Classroom management is crucial part of any teaching style is effective classroom management so both the students and teacher can learn together in a positive learning environment.

Action Plan

I will observe my TA and record different strategies and routines that they incorporate into their classroom. I will do research on the internet by reading different blogs and management websites about managing a music classroom. I will then bring all of these elements together in a binder so I have something I can refer to in the future and continue to add too as I come across more strategies that I like. I also want to begin incorporating the strategies I find into my teaching style right away The binder will serve as a tool to assess how successful my research has been. For each resource I want to have at least three different ones sources and I must pull minimum 5 strategies from each. Action Plan Rationale: A crucial part of any teaching style is effective classroom management so both the students and teacher can learn together in a positive learning environment. Goal #2: Be more effective time wise in my lesson planning Rationale: This type of teaching will be imperative for me to be well versed in if I choose to pursue elementary music education.
