Point of View 7 TAB-P701

Preparation notice: Upgrading the firmware of your device may enhance the performance and functionality of your device. Incorrect followup of the steps described in this manual can cause irreversible damage to your tablet. Backup all your information before continuing and thoroughly read the instructions before taking action. -Check if you have downloaded the correct firmware by matching the itemnumber on the back of the tablet.

TAB-P701 (MOBII 701) Firmware upgrade instructions - Backup the personal data on the tablet - Ensure that the battery is fully charged and you have the AC adapter plugged in - Be sure to shut down and save your in background running processes. - Temporary disable your antivirus program on pc before updating your tablet. - Unpack your downloaded update file. - USB A male > Micro USB B male cable is required -Connect charger to the tablet and USB cable to the PC and tablet.

-Power off the device => If you are not able to power off your device continue to the next step.

-Press and hold the + button on the tablet and keep this pressed => Press the Reset button once (still holding + button ) 2

-In windows you will hear a sound that there is a device connected. -Now in Windows go to Computer and right click on it and select Manage

- In the new opened window Computer Management select Device Manager - Now right click on the unknown device and select Update Driver Software

-Manually search driver by selecting Browse my computer for driver software.

-Go to the location where you have unpacked the update folder 4

TAB-P701 (MOBII 701) Firmware upgrade instructions -Browse to the directory where you placed the folders, this should be similar to: C:\TAB-P701(V1.0)\Driver\x86 (32-bit systems) or x64 (for 64-bit systems) \ xp \ 2000 \ vista \ win7 Note: Please choose the correct folder for your operating system

-Press Next -When windows asks if you want to install the device software select install/Install this driver anyway

-When successful, close the window.

Note: The driver installation only need to be done if this is the first time you update your tablet firmware. If you already have done an update in the past the driver is already installed then you can skip this part and continue updating directly. -Go back to the extracted folder and double click RKBatchTool.exe

-Browse in the Firmware folder for the for the update firmware which has XXX.img => after selecting this it will be displayed in the FW Path: -Connected Devices 1 must be Green

-Now press Upgrade 8

after the update is finished you will see the following

Your Tablet is now booting and finalizing the upgrade process. You may disconnect the usb cable from the tablet but keep the power connected to the tablet until the tablet is fully started up in the language selection setting. Note :First time after booting a upgrade will take a the tablet longer to start up so be patient do not panic if it stays too long in the android boot logo and do not disrupt this process !!
