Briefly tell us a little more about yourself and why you have chosen to volunteer at this time:

I am a warm, friendly, enthusiastic person with a strong academic background. I love working with children, something I discovered whilst being a nanny. This has inspired me to become a primary school teacher and I am currently applying to study my PGCE next year. I would love the chance to volunteer and help in any way for this fantastic charity. I love cooking and hold a foundation certificate in cookery, skills which I would enjoy passing on. My other passions include drama; I studied theatre studies to A-level and was involved in several directing projects, and especially reading. I discovered a love of reading at a young age and I am passionate about helping children to have the same positive experience. I am keen to find any way in which I could be of help, from afterschool clubs to helping children in the classroom.

We offer ad hoc volunteering opportunities with many different sort of activities that require volunteer support. There is no commitment to participate in any activity unless its suitable to your schedule or interest. We send regular emails every three weeks, providing a list of opportunities.
