Additional information
My experience to date has given me an in-depth insight into teaching across a broad spectrum. Years in Poland and in Manchester have informed me as to what it takes to apply at first a small range of skills as gleaned from the CELTA, to hone them and at the same time challenge and broaden them to fit a profile required to perform at a higher level. I undertook a Masters in ELT to give a more integrated foundation to this experience. In between I have expanded the length and breadth of my practical knowledge in exam training, teacher training on a Master's course, design and implementation of my own course materials for courses offering credits in a syllabus that I created. For a good proportion of my career I have been dealing with students who want gain entrance onto university courses and those already on them needing further help. I strive to keep abreast of developments in ELT and feel that I now have the background and experience to develop further in new directions. I have become accustomed to the technology involved in distance learning as this was the format I used on my Master's so I feel I can competently tackle the tasks required. I have used Blackboard extensively.
