Saves when you buy it. Saves when you run it. Saves when you retrieve it. The hydraulic-set Perma-Lach packer.
Incorporating many features from the fieldproven Perma-Lach design, this hydraulic-set packer offers high performance at a low cost. For most sizes, it handles stimulation pressures to 10,000 psi and operating temperatures to 275 F. There are no hold-down buttons, so theres no chance for leakage around hold-down button O-rings. A simple change of packer elastomers equips the tool for H2S or higher temperature service. Setting and releasing is a study in simplicity. Run it in on tubing, drop a ball or set a slickline plug and apply pressure to set the packer. No tubing manipulation is required. To release, just pull straight up on production tubing. The tools small outer diameter speeds running in. Setting pressures can be field adjusted, allowing multiple packers to be run and set during a single trip. Further simplifying operations, tubing can be spaced out before the packer is set. With its low cost, simple operation and dependable performance, the hydraulic-set Perma-Lach packer will be a field favorite.
Release Mechanism
Proven Perma-Lach release mechanism.
Positive Seal
The outside elements in the triple-seal, multidurometer element package seal off high pressures while the softer inner element molds itself against casing irregularities for leak-proof performance.
Setting Pressures
Setting pressures can be field adjusted.
Secure Hold
Case-carburized slips bite into casing to prevent slippage in either direction. Consistent hardness across tooth section assures a reliable grip even after multiple sets.
Adjustable Shear Release
Easy to adjust shear release values to your completion requirements.

The hydraulic-set Perma-Lach packer is versatile when it comes to completion designs. The field adjustable shear values for setting and releasing mean compatibility with a wide variety of equipment and completion procedures. This packer can be used as the lower packer in dual completions. For single string completions, an on-off tool allows the packer to act as a bridge plug for greater safety during tubing changeout. In multi-zone completions requiring a one-trip solution, the adjustable setting and releasing shear values make it simple to set the PermaLach packers in a predetermined sequence.

AHC Hydraulic-Set Packer
This Large Bore Retrievable Packer Combines Permanent Packer Performance with Multiple Retrieval Options for a Total Completion Solution
Halliburtons new Hydraulic Set AHC Packer offers outstanding performance, reliability, and versatility. With this packer you get the performance and reliability of a permanent packer without the time-consuming and costly milling operations normally required to retrieve a permanent packer.
Can Be Configured with Ratch-Latch Head Or Premium Tubing Thread
Reliability and Versatility
The AHCs large inside diameter makes this packer ideal for a wide variety of completion applications. This unique design can be easily configured for monobore completions or into compact multi-bore designs capable of handling dual completions, electric cable, control line and instrument line feedthroughs. Even when configured for multi-bores, the sealing duties are handled by a reliable high performance concentric element package used in single bore applications. No mandrel movement during setting means that multiple AHC packers can be run together in a completion and set simultaneously or selectively. The packer s reliability is enhanced by having few elastomeric seals. The seals that are used are proven, performance tested and positioned to optimize protection of the well.
The Barrel Slip Provides High Load Capability Without Damaging Casing
Proven, Highly Reliable, Three-Piece, Multi-Durometer Element Package To Suit Medium To High Pressure And Temperature Environments Single-Piece Mandrel Eliminates The Need For O-Ring Seals Above The Elements
Retrieving Options - Straight-Shear, Chemical-Cut or Quick-Mill
The release options can be tailored to the completion requirements. If your completion requires a straight shear release packer, the adjustable Shear Release ring is used. For high pressures or high load capabilities, the adjustable Shear Release ring is replaced with a lock ring and the packer is released by chemically cutting the packer mandrel, then retrieving the packer with straight pull on the tubing. No components or metal cuttings are left in the well. In the event the packer must be milled, the slip is located at the top of the packer providing a very short milling distance to release.

Save valuable rig time with Halliburtons reliable RH packer
Many operators have saved a tremendous amount of rig time with Halliburtons proven RH packer a hydraulic-set system easily converted to selective set so the same packer can be used for single or multizone wells. It has safe, low-pressure setting requirements, but setting pressures can be easily varied in the field. In any case, the tree can be set and flanged up before setting as the packer does not require mandrel movement to set. A lower set of mechanical slips retains the packer against downward forces and an upper set of pressure-actuated button slips retains the packer in position against differential pressure from below. The more the differential pressure increases below the packer, the harder the Hold-down buttons bite into the casing. And when its time to release, no tubing rotation is required a simple, straight upward pull on the tubing is all thats needed. Fast, simple, straightforward it all adds up to one reliable, time-saving packer.
Sure Hold
Reliable casing bite in all grades including P110 and harder is provided with case-carburized slips. Contoured slips are designed to match the casing ID without belling. Easier packer release stems from the unique dovetail slip design.
Reliable
Durable tungsten-carbide disc inserts in the Hold-down buttons are protected from the casing wall as the packer is lowered into the well.
Positive Sealing
Triple-seal multidurometer element package contains two high durometer end elements. The middle element is softer to seal against casing irregularities and low pressures. End elements have molded, self-retracting springs.

When rig time is a premium, the single-trip Hydraulic-Set, Perma-Series packer offers proven performance and economy
The Hydraulic-Set Perma-Series packer is a permanent drillable production packer that is the singletrip version of the proven Perma-Series packer equipped with a Ratch-Latch head. It is fast becoming a field favorite for highly deviated and/or single trip production and injection applications. It is especially well suited for offshore completions where economics require a single-trip packer.
One Piece Mandrel and Sealbore
eliminates a potential leak path.
Ratch-Latch Sealbore with Seal Anchor
provides high tensile strength and large bore through packer and seals.
Case-Carburized Slips
provide maximum casing contact with uniform slip penetration.
Leading-edge design features include a one-piece mandrel and seal bore that eliminates a potential leak path. Also, the low profile means greater running clearances to help reduce problems that may occur when running in highly deviated and horizontal wells. All premium, metal-to-metal thread connections add to the dependability of the packer.
Metal-To-Metal Backup Shoes
offer a 360 casing wall contact that prevents seal element extrusion.
Setting Piston O-Rings
standard design consists of two Aflas O-rings with PEEK backups, and two Viton O-rings with PEEK backups. This combination provides the downhole condition resistance of the Aflas sealing compound with the cold temperature surface testing integrity of the Viton compound.
Triple Seal Multidurometer Element Package
is a geometric design to seal effectively at high or low temperatures or pressures; available in 325F, 400F and 450F temperature ratings.
Important cost savings are built into the design of the Hydraulic-Set Perma-Series packer, especially when well conditions require exotic materials for the mandrel. A special short head version of the packer means less exotic material is needed and that reduces the cost.
Bottom Sub and Piston Housing
made of a single piece, eliminating a potential O-ring leak path.
Metal-To-Metal
premium thread connections on the packer, seal anchor and Ratch-Latch assembly.

Deviated or horizontal completions Tubing conveyed perforating (TCP) Stimulation and FracPacsm service
HALLIBURTON
The Hydraulic-Set Versa-Trieve packers unique anti-preset mechanism system helps eliminate the problems that can be encountered when running a packer in horizontal and highly deviated wells. The hydraulic setting piston is isolated from unexpected load forces that may accidently set the packer.
Seal Anchor Threaded and Pinned to Prevent Backoff
Move this packer until its in the right place!
Anti-preset mechanism helps ensure that the packer does not set until the setting piston moves. No tubing rotation is necessary during setting or retrieving.
The Hydraulic-Set Versa-Trieve packer brings real value to conventional wells too. The singletrip capabilities of this packer make it ideal for use with Halliburtons VannSystem tubing-conveyed perforating guns. And, since the packer is mechanically held in the set position, it is ideally suited for stimulation operations where tubing contraction and mechanical shock loads may release a straight pull-to-release packer.
Anti-Rotation Lug Locks Exterior Components to Facilitate Milling
Designs available to meet all environments.
Triple-seal, multidurometer packer element seals against high and low pressure and against casing irregularities. Metallurgy of standard packer is for H2S service. Exotic metals and elastomers are available.
More trouble-free running in, positive setting and holding, and fast, dependable retrieving mean the Hydraulic-Set Versa-Trieve can really help lower overall costs for highly deviated or horizontal well completions or completions involving tubing conveyed perforating and stimulation operations.

SP The Ultimate Design Solution for Reliability
The reliability of the Halliburton SP Non-Elastomer Rod Piston TRSV starts with design that is confirmed through industry leading verification and is seen through industry leading performance. Sole emphasis is placed on minimizing life cycle costs as opposed to minimizing equipment build cost. The SP Non-Elastomer Rod Piston TRSV represents a comprehensive design solution for reliability. Design reliability analysis quickly illustrates the SP valves attention to the critical design reliability issues. Performance based sealing. Enhanced metallurgy for critical items. Debris isolation/protection Mechanical loading of critical items.
SP Reliability Features
TM
Sealing
100% MTM well containment in closed position. Verified metal-to-metal flapper seal. Metal-to-metal flapper seat connection. Flapper passes low pressure nitrogen leakage verification through 120 slam closures (API Class II Sand Test consist of 7 slam closures). Each body connection verified to full capability combining external/internal pressure, maximum temperature and compression/tensile loading. Non-elastomer dynamic seals with metal-to-metal static seal in the open and closed position. The metal-to-metal seal is independently verified during the manufacturing process without the dynamic seals in place, ensuring metal-to-metal integrity with every valve made. Hydraulic system isolated from well pressure by metal-to-metal seal when valve is open.
Enhanced Metallurgy
Upgraded materials for all critical items. Selective metallurgy upgrade can alter the design reliability by 500% to 1000% in many cases.
Debris/Isolation Protection
Wiper ring on upper flow tube and metal-to-metal flow tube seating at the bottom isolate critical components during well production. Upper wiper ring also prevents circulation of well fluids through the inner spring chamber during valve closure. Maximized piston area/closing spring force. Selective internal exercise profile provides ability to manipulate flow tube.
CN03163
The Halliburton SP Valve provides the solution to achieving todays life-of-thereservoir completion designs.
TM
Mechanical Loading
Concentric thrust bearing eliminates torsional effects of helical spring and wear of dynamic seals. Flow tube shock absorber protects flow tube, dynamic seals, rod piston and upper MTM hydraulic seal from slam closure. Rigid flow tube concentrically guided at both ends minimizes piston rod loading. Increased rod piston size providing increased durability.
Halliburtons Metal-To-Metal Technology Providing Unsurpassed Reliability

Premium Metal-to-Metal Body Connections
Each Halliburton body joint design is verified to the full working envelope using the Halliburton Deep Well Simulator. This allows verification of not only burst and tension, but also collapse and compression, which others often ignore due to expensive fixturing required to conduct this type testing. Halliburton does not conduct any same as qualification of TRSV body connections. Every body joint size and design goes through the full rigorous verification test.
True Metal-to-Metal Flapper Sealing
True metal-to-metal sealing, provides superior reliability and durability at the critical stage of valve closure. Recognized by Petroleum Engineering International for innovative engineering, the patented spherical sealing flapper design provides unsurpassed metal-to-metal sealing. The flapper seat is coupled to the valve body by utilizing a torqued metal-to-metal seal. This eliminates cyclic seal loading experienced by other comparative designs. Each new design is thoroughly tested including a tortuous slam closure test exceeding API 14A Class 1 and 2 by nearly 20 fold.

Monolock Lock System
Lower Cost Options And Improved Reliability With The Halliburton Monolock Lock System
The ultimate solution to setting flow controls or plugs in monobore completions may be the ability to set a device anywhere in the tubing stringa challenge that Halliburton has met through its unique nippleless lock system, the Monolock Lock System. Halliburtons Monolock is designed to be set anywhere in a given size of tubing, casing, or liner. It differs from a conventional lock mandrel in that the Monolock does not require either a profile or a seal bore in the tubing string. Also, the Monolock is retained in position by slips rather than keys. It may be used in conjunction with the Halliburton FBN Fullbore Nipple System or any other selective nipple and lock system. The Monolock plug was designed for retrievable bridge plug applications and can be adapted to install bottomhole pressure gauges and other flow control devices. Also, the Monolock can be used to plug tubing below the hanger for wellhead repairs. It can be run in wells with landing nipples or other types of restrictions as long as the run OD is smaller than the restriction ID. The Monolock may be set hydraulically on coiled tubing, explosively on conductor line or slickline (in conjunction with an electronic triggering device), or electro-mechanically on slickline. Setting the Monolock with a Downhole Power Unit (DPU) and running/retrieving tool on slickline can help lower installation and retrieval costs. Once set, the Monolock and associated plug assembly holds pressure from either direction. In fact, the Monolock is designed to withstand differential pressures of up to 10,000 psi. The Monolock can be retrieved by slickline or coiled tubing.

Economical And Reliable Completion Products
Features and Benefits
Lock is designed to be run and retrieved on slickline. Cost savings result from the ability to plug a well without rig intervention by using lower-cost options such as slickline. Setting mechanism permits lock to be set anywhere in the tubing, liner, or casing. Slip design permits setting in unsupported pipe without deforming the pipe. Slip configuration ensures centralized setting, even in high-angle wells. Seal element is a one-piece design, making it suitable for a wide range of conditions. Seal element is located above the slip to ensure the slip is kept free of debris. Interface between the releasing mechanism and seal element provides element retractability during retrieval process. Belleville spring energizer provides sufficient force across the seal element to create strong initial sealing capability during pressure reversals across the assembly.

TOP NO-GO SERIES LANDING NIPPLE
Operation
Halliburton RPT No-Go Landing Nipples provide a means of running a series of nipples in a tubing string when a stepdown completion with a large through-bore is required. The Halliburton Landing Nipples are designed to accept Halliburton RPT Lock Mandrels with a minimum rated working pressure of 10,000 psi, both upstream and downstream. Since the Lock Mandrel No-Go locates on top of the nipples polished bore, there are no secondary restrictions normally associated with bottom no-go profiles. The No-Go Nipple provides positive location of the lock and minimizes the possibility of misruns. Nipple bores are stepped down in approximately 1/8-inch increments to minimize loss of throughbore ID. Halliburton RPT Lock Mandrels within a given size range are designed to use the same running tool, pulling tool, and equalizing prong.

Mirage Disappearing Plug
The Halliburton Mirage Disappearing Plug is a plugging device designed to run as an integral part of the tubing. The plug can be used to set a hydraulic-set packer or to test the tubing string. It is activated by hydraulic pressure, eliminating the need to use wireline or coiled tubing to run and retrieve the plugging device. Once the plug has been expended, the plug material will dissolve and disintegrate leaving full tubing ID through the plug. A fill sub is run above the mirage plug when tubing autofill is required. Applications
horizontal and high angle wells where slickline or CTU intervention after completion is undesirable setting production and isolation packers testing tubing wells where retrievable plug after use is undesirable
Features and Benefits
testing tubing can be accomplished without delay or problems associated with other plugging methods soft expend feature minimizes shock damage to formation reduces completion costs by eliminating trips to install and retrieve plugging device water used to dissolve plug is carried with the tool a diaphragm is run in the top of the tool to keep debris off plug matrix full nonrestrictive ID after expending plug maximum particle size after the plug material has disintegrated is 1 mm, eliminating any well debris can be mechanically activated by wireline as a backup multiple pressure cycle capability hold differential pressure from above and below automatic expend after last pressure cycle reduces well risk, reduces number of slickline or CTU trips in the hole, allows multiple pressure tests prior to expending

Safety Set Lock Mandrel System
Halliburtons SAFETYSET lock mandrel system is a drive-down, jar-up-to-set, no-go type system designed specifically for surfacecontrolled subsurface safety valve (SCSSV) applications. This patented system consists of a SAFETY SET lock mandrel, running tool, and unlocking tool. The SAFETY SET lock mandrel system is designed to help ensure valve-set integrity and hydraulic control communication to the safety valve. The design features a locking sleeve that moves upward in the direction of flow to establish a locked safety valve. This locking allows unlimited drive-down action without the possibility of presetting the lock while it travels downhole. A no-go shoulder on the lock mandrel provides positive locating within the landing nipple. This system is designed to minimize operator guess work at the surface by requiring two independent conditions to exist before the running tool will release. The SCSSV must be pressured open for the lock keys to expand. Only when the locking sleeve is locked in place will the running tool release. A running tool retrieved to the surface without the lock and valve indicates a functional valve securely locked into the landing nipple.
Applications
uniquely designed for wirelineretrievable SCSSV applications high flow rates
Options
designs are available for all RQ and RPT landing nipple profiles models can be designed to land and lock in any safety valve landing nipple with a no-go ID staggered-bore SAFETYSET lock mandrels are available for safety valve landing nipple installations
Features
lock mandrel can only lock in the nipple after control line integrity is established no shear pins in the running tool running tool can be released only after lock mandrel locks and SCSSV is operable large ID locking sleeve locks in the direction of flow optimum pressure rating design on lock mandrel anti-vibration ring in lock mandrel
Benefits
helps eliminate the possibility of subsurface safety valves being left downhole without proper installation or without control line pressure integrity no shear pin damage to safety equipment, seals, or sealing bores no presetting or false set indications from premature pin shearing helps avoid a possible flow-out of the subsurface safety valves to surface minimal metal-to-metal abrasion from vibration lock system is protected from accidental unlocking by slickline tools passing through the ID

Single run system saves time and money
Save rig time. Halliburtons single-trip completion saves a minimum of two runs in the hole for faster completions. Begin production sooner. The decreased number of runs means the well can be brought on line earlier. Meet all completion needs. The Single-Trip PerfPac System is extremely flexible. It can be configured to perform a water frac, high rate water pack, FracPac, Slurry Pac, or a gravel pack. Minimize fluid loss, avoid well control problems. Single-trip speed means faster completions that help prevent excessive loss of expensive completion fluids to the formation.

Breakthrough performance using proven technology
MPT gravel pack service tool prevents premature setting of the gravel pack packer during perforation, allowing the packer and TCP guns to be run together. A non-rotating tool, it eliminates the need to rotate downhole to separate from the gravel pack packer. It also easily converts to a washdown tool. Big bore packer accommodates a larger ID/OD ratio, allowing the TCP guns to pass through the sump packer. Champ Packer eliminates the need to displace the entire wellbore with nitrogen. By confining displacement to the tubing, less nitrogen is used and better control of the underbalance pressure and TCP firing is achieved. OMNI Valve eliminates the need to move tubing to kill the well after perforating. P-110 grade blank prevents the collapse of the screen and blank. TCP gun systems are available in a wide variety of sizes to optimize completion performance.

Efficient Single-Trip completion saves Texaco over $1.3 million
Offshore Louisiana: Texaco was using ZnBr2 to control high pressure in a well with TVD of 6,300 ft and BHP of 7,000 psi. Excessive amounts of the expensive completion fluid were being lost to the formation. Halliburton designed a Single-Trip PerfPac System to minimize rig time and cut fluid loss. The system performed TCP perforating and a FracPac sand control treatment during a single run. The completion was performed as planned, saving over 3-1/2 days of rig time and hundreds of barrels of ZnBr2. The entire completion saved an estimated $1.376 million compared to a previous completion in the same field. The well is producing 2,000 BOPD and 1.446 MCFD sand free.
