1 APPLICATION
ZX20A series braking resistors used to be applied in the hoisting machinery as dynamic bank unit for many kind of cranes, such as RTGs, quay side container cranes, and portable jib cranes etc. the resistor functions as energy absorber to consume regenerative energy back from AC inductive motor when this kind of cranes do hoisting down, especially with a weight attached.

2STRUCTURE FEATURES
The main part resistance pieces made of 304/2B stainless steel plate are fixed with four screw thread rods. There are two stages insulation material between these resistance pieces. This kind of resistance piece features the result of more capacity, corrosion proof, non-inductive, constant resistance value, vibration damping etc. acid and salty mist resistance, high strength, and durable etc., and used to apply where expose at the oceanic weather. The cabinet shell made of A3 steel plate and surface treatment with plastic sprayed. Cabinet enclosure is outdoor type and content with five resistor banks. Five banks 0.48 Ohm for each will be connected in serial result in 2.4 Ohms. Its connection terminals mark as R and P. There is a tapping led out at bottom of cabinet and it functions resistance value at 2.16 Ohms and marks as R-2.16. There are two dust shields as front and rear cover. A warning mark adheres at front one. There are three terminals inside for external wires connect.

6 CAUTIONS PRIOR TO NORMAL OPERATION


1 Reliable earth connected before power on 2 Open dust shields to take all different things out, especially to avoid electric short due to some different metallic pieces in. 3 Fasten all connection terminals 4 Fasten all screws after power on for test or one week normal operation. 5 Room space surrounding the cabinet enough to airflow.
