Go for the Good Attendance Award or Red and Black Champs Recognition for Attendance; As we hit the hard months of winter it is difficult for students to keep their attendance on track. We need to help students understand the importance of being in school and participating in activities. Being in school everyday means your child wont miss out on learning. Try to schedule appointments and family trips outside of school hours. If he/she asks to stay home just because, remind him/her of what he/she might miss, such as a group project, art class, or music performance. Explain that he/she can be absent in the event of a family emergency or if he/she is truly ill. Form good habits now.
