THE COMPONENTS OF A LAN

SELECTING A LAN

SERVER-BASED LAN#

A network in w%ic% t%e workstations connect onl) to servers is called a client:server network or server-based network or server-based LAN . A server is a s)ste( t%at rovides services to t%e re3uestin# s)ste(s called t%e client.
